Attrahent has successfully delivered a comprehensive conference management platform, for use by conference organisation bodies. This platform greatly reduces the risk and burden of administrative, paper-based functions, and enables ease of use from a user-perspective, while boasting a full management and administrative back-office for administrative personnel. The platform includes:

• Secure, online registration and payment processing.
• Secure, online abstract submission and management.
• Online abstract review, reporting and management.
• Full online administrative functioning.

Attrahent has spent considerable time investigating the possibilities and requirements for electronic learning management systems, and has now successfully delivered a generic e-learning platform, which can be adopted within various fields with little effort - covering a broad range of requirements - while still functioning effectively as a streamlined, un-complicated and robust system.

This system now also includes:

• An online registration system.
• Secure online payment processing.
• Full administrative capabilities (i.e. user management, profile editing, bulk e-mailing, statistical analysis, feedback reporting, etc).
• Full editorial functionality (i.e. publication and management of course material, marking specifications, course preferences, course availability, etc).

Attrahent has started building direct relationships and representation in Canada. This network will act as conduit for the flow of innovations between South Africa and the North American markets. In so doing, South African campus innovators can now access a vastly expanded selection of international partners and clients.

Attrahent has recently delivered a unique on-line platform for use in the Consultus Psychologist CPD-Well programme.

Psychologists, like many other professional disciplines, need to continue their education and earn a legislated number of continued professional development points each year. To assist them in doing so, Unistel Consultus (Pty) Ltd has developed various programmes to provide the required exposure. Recognising that professionals in practice have limited time to attend scheduled events, Consultus has offered an on-line version of the programme.

Attrahent has been responsible for specifying and developing the platform, which is uniquely tailored to minimize dial-up costs for South African Internet users.

Researchers, staff and students frequently produce outputs which could be marketed via the Internet. In fact, the Internet frequently provides valuable international exposure for these outputs. Unfortunately "low cost e-commerce" is still largely a myth, leading many campus innovators to abandon plans to sell their products.

Recognizing that campus innovators have precious little resources to risk in setting up and maintaining e-commerce facilities, Attrahent has developed a fully functional system which campus innovators can use with minimal fixed cost. Attrahent thus shares in the risks with the innovator.

This platform is currently being trialled on the Stellenbosch campus, and will for example be used to sell the upcoming version of the EquipU4 LearnWell software.
